At a very young age, due to the fact that I was a boarder, was exposed to the lifestyle of been gay.. it was fun at first meeting various people ‎with different background and ethnicity. But the later on the negative parts which involved drinking of alcohol, clubbing, flirting, and smoking just to mention a few..

I became so engrossed doing all that, just because I was having so much fun. By the time I was 20 years old,  I have already had my first tattoo (which was unknown to my parents), traveled to places my parents can never believe I had gone to, just to have fun with my so-called friends then.

But the Lord brought me back by to his ways by giving me a new experience through an arrest. I was meant to start my final exams, and on the day that preceded the examination day we decided to have a last night out.

On our way back, there was a community clash in the morning and the Police were moving about picking anyone with suspicious movement. They picked me and my friends, we were locked up and asked to call our people to come bail us.

I couldn't call my parents and I didn't have anyone else to call. All my so called friends had deserted me. Eventually d grace of God prevailed and I was released after 3 days. Parents had searched far and wide for me. I had missed major papers in my exam.

Finally, I rededicated my life to Christ and haven't looked back since then.

How God delivered me from Bed Wetting, within the final years in the University.

Story: Wale Adelana (pseudonym)

Life can never be much better, than being free from bed-wetting. The gush of confidence mixed with doubt [in this context, unsure if it has really stopped. Waking up to always check if you are dry, just one more day], relief mixed with gratitude to God for answering the greatest of your heart’s desires.

The major experience is low self-esteem, fear, shame, for a Christian- doubt in God. Imagine waking up to a morning, soaked and everyone is awake and you can’t come off your bed because of the shame [the first thought is how am I going to come off my bed, to change into something dry?].

I remember when I was in the secondary school, different people who seemed to feel compassionate would render unsolicited advice and suggestions [trust me, I was really grateful because they seemed to understand how I felt]. Some of the mythic suggestions included; peeing in fire, visiting an ‘alfa’ who they claimed had solutions [I never got to find out because I never tried this particular one out], etc.

I also remember in the university when deliverance pastors came and mentioned the case of bed-wetting coupled with other serious cases and speak deliverance prayers to our lives, friends who do not know about your case, would ask what your case was, try to guess, and ask funny questions. [I believe you can imagine how I must have felt!]

Another major event I remember is with my younger ones who practically stopped bed-wetting before I did or didn’t wet the bed the day I did, would look you in the eye and wonder what kind of elder brother wets the bed at that particular age [not like they said it, but that’s how I felt they thought], it leads to disrespect.

The lord delivered me in my fourth year in the university, and I have never been more grateful. I have got my confidence back, no shame, I sometimes drink water in the midnight to prove to myself its gone indeed.

I speak the word of healing and deliverance to everyone reading this article [my story], the Lord who touched me and delivered me from the spirit of bed-wetting would touch you this moment and destroy in you that which God didn’t plant. He will deliver and set you free indeed.

You are free! The Lord shall restore all that the enemy has stolen from you, and I release to you by the power of the Holy Ghost your confidence, self-esteem, joy, peaceful sleep and sweet dreams, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
